Compressed Sensing algorithms performance with superresolution in a passive radar

چکیده
The paper presents a study of Compressed Sensing application in a passive radar, where the range resolution is limited by the bandwidth of signal used. The application of Compressed Sensing allows to obtain superresolution in a presence of a point target, which is useful e.g. when exploiting multipath information for estimating the target elevation. However, in such setup, Compressed Sensing algorithms tend to fail. This paper aims to study the applicability of different algorithms and to propose some modifications that improve their performance.

A sparse sampling strategy for angular superresolution of real beam scanning radar
This paper investigates techniques for angular superresolution using limited data of real beam scanning radar (RBSR). In order to improve the angular resolution of RBSR, many algorithms have been proposed. However, for most algorithms, large amounts of sampling data is necessary. The requirement of data increases the burden of the radar system. Fortunately, the sparse signal reconstruction tech...
متن کاملA Soft-Input Soft-Output Target Detection Algorithm for Passive Radar
Abstract: This paper proposes a novel scheme for multi-static passive radar processing, based on soft-input soft-output processing and Bayesian sparse estimation. In this scheme, each receiver estimates the probability of target presence based on its received signal and the prior information received from a central processor. The resulting posterior target probabilities are transmitted to the c...

In this article, a matching pursuit algorithm is developed to improve the performance of a passive multiplexing technique based on compressed sensing. This deconvolution technique is applied to RADAR imaging in the microwave range, starting from previous studies based on a compact coding device and L1-norm regularizations. This study demonstrates that in this context, the quality of the reconst...

This dissertation focuses on advanced signal processing techniques for mul-ticarrier modulation in two application scenarios: underwater acoustic (UWA) communication and passive radar. In UWA communication, multicarrier transmission promises a substantial increase in data rate, following the path of recent success of broadband wireless radio communications. However, UWA channels are much more c...
